Anthropic Fellows Program

About this role

The Anthropic Fellows Program is a 4-month full-time research fellowship designed to foster AI research and engineering talent through mentorship and funding. Fellows work on empirical projects aligned with Anthropic's research priorities using external infrastructure, with the goal of producing public outputs such as research papers. The program offers direct mentorship from Anthropic researchers, access to shared workspaces in Berkeley or London, weekly stipends, and compute funding (~$15k/month). Multiple workstreams are available including AI Safety, AI Security, ML Systems & Performance, Reinforcement Learning, and Economics & Policy, with over 80% of previous cohorts producing papers.

Requirements

Fluent in Python; Available for full-time 4-month commitment; Work authorization in US, UK, or Canada required; No visa sponsorship available; Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred; Background in computer science, mathematics, or physics beneficial
