About this scholarship

This fully funded scholarship offers 20,000 $ (Masters, 2 years) or 24,000 $ (Doctorate, 3-4 years) per year plus domestic tuition coverage. The program provides access to advanced research equipment including drones, GNSS, ADCP, and survey tools for geomorphic change detection and river monitoring. Candidates will collaborate with the Department of Civil and Building Engineering and access Sherbrooke's Outdoor Experimental River Facility (OERF). The university offers affordable housing, quality food, and excellent nature access. Students are expected to apply for additional funding from major funding organizations.

Eligibility

Background in geography, geology, environmental science, engineering, or related discipline. Strong background in geomorphology or fluvial geomorphology. Expertise or strong interest in remote sensing and GIS. Expertise in AI and/or large-sample statistical approaches to hydrology/geomorphology. Programming experience in R or Python. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
