About this scholarship
Responsibilities: Conduct soil analysis and assessments to determine soil fertility, structure, and nutrient requirements. Develop and implement effective crop production plans, including crop selection, planting schedules, irrigation, and fertilisation. Monitor crop growth and health, identifying and managing pests, diseases, and weeds using best agronomic practices. Carry out field trials, research, and experiments to improve crop yield, quality, and resistance to environmental stress. Provide technical advice and recommendations on best farming practices, soil conservation, and crop management. Promote sustainable and environmentally responsible farming methods. Maintain accurate farm records, reports, and data on crop performance and soil conditions. Ensure compliance with agricultural standards, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Crop Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage)....
