About this internship
Responsibilities: Manage and maintain comprehensive financial records, including accounts, ledgers, journals, and financial statements to ensure transparency and accountability. Generate periodic reports for management, highlighting financial performance and variances. Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets. Work with the company’s external auditor and tax accountant to prepare and file tax returns (including VAT returns) in compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. Handle client and vendor invoices, payments, and accounts. Reconcile bank statements and other financial statements with company records. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in accountancy, banking and finance, or a related field from an accredited university. Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as ICAN may be an advantage. 2 years post NYSC relevant experience in accounting or finance, including familiarity with accounting software and systems.
