About this scholarship
Responsibilities: Assist chefs and cooks in basic food preparation (e.g., peeling, chopping, portioning). Wash and clean kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and appliances. Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and food storage areas in line with food safety regulations. Receive and store deliveries appropriately. Remove and properly dispose of waste and rubbish from the kitchen. Refill kitchen supplies like salt, oil, spices, and napkins. Report any equipment faults or safety hazards to the supervisor. Follow hygiene, health, and safety guidelines at all times. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head Chef or Manager. Requirements: Minimum SSCE/WAEC certificate. Previous kitchen or food handling experience is an advantage, but not mandatory. Good physical stamina; ability to stand for long hours. Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
