About this scholarship
Responsibilities: Construct, assemble, and install furniture items such as cabinets, wardrobes, tables, chairs, beds, and other custom furniture pieces. Interpret design drawings, measurements, and specifications for furniture production. Cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools. Sand, polish, and finish furniture surfaces to meet quality standards. Repair damaged furniture and perform maintenance work when required. Collaborate with factory assistants, designers, and supervisors during production processes. Ensure proper use and maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment. Follow company safety procedures and production guidelines. Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a carpenter, preferably in a furniture manufacturing company or workshop. Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, and furniture assembly techniques. Ability to read and understand furniture designs and measurements. Benefit: Accommodation Inclusive.
