About this scholarship
Responsibilities: Assist in Product Decoration: Support the lead decorator in icing, frosting, and decorating cakes, cupcakes, and pastries. Apply basic decorations such as borders, lettering, piping, and toppings. Prepare Decorating Materials: Prepare and mix icing, fondant, glazes, and food colorings as required. Ensure decorating tools and materials are readily available for production. Cake and Pastry Preparation: Assist with leveling, layering, filling, and crumb-coating cakes before decoration. Help assemble multi-layer cakes and specialty baked products. Quality Control: Ensure decorated products meet the company’s quality, design, and presentation standards. Inspect products before packaging or displaying. Workstation Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized decorating workstation.
