About this scholarship
The Gates Cambridge Scholarship funds outstanding international students for full-time postgraduate study at the University of Cambridge. It covers the full University Composition Fee, a maintenance allowance of around £21,000 for twelve months (up to four years for PhD students), one economy flight each way, UK visa and health surcharge costs, and academic development funding of up to £2,000.
Eligibility
Open to citizens of any country outside the UK applying for a PhD, MLitt, or eligible one-year postgraduate course at Cambridge. Selection weighs academic excellence, fit with the chosen course, a commitment to improving the lives of others, and leadership capacity, with a strong academic record usually meaning a first or high upper-second degree. You cannot apply to fund a course you have already begun.
